El Fondo de Conservación Vial (Fovial) tiene a disposición 2,479 máquinas y equipos alerta para atender emergencias por lluvias en diferentes puntos del país, con el objetivo de salvaguardar la vida de los salvadoreños y garantizar el buen estado de las carreteras de todo el país.
Esto es parte del Programa de Mitigación de Emergencias 2024 que desarrolla la institución responsable de la conectividad vial, afirma su director, Alex Beltrán.
Además, son más de 3,000 hombres y mujeres quienes conforman las cuadrillas, esto con el fin de retirar árboles caídos, derrumbes, inundaciones, cárcavas, daños en obras de paso, así como obras hidráulicas, entre otras.
«Nuestras cuadrillas trabajan las 24 horas del día y los 7 días de la semana para atender cualquier emergencia en las vías de la red Fovial», indicó el director del Fovial, Alexánder Beltrán.
La comunicación con la ciudadanía es muy importante para poder atender las emergencias con agilidad. “Las personas pueden enviar sus reportes al teléfono 7488-9174 o a través de las redes sociales de la institución”, indicó el funcionario.
